Developing my poetry project (the #postitpoetryproject on Instagram) and obviously, more travel to new places! About Karuna Ezara Parikh Hopefully a very serious return to writing. The books I read, the people I meet, and the places I visit all form a pin board for my imagination. I’m inspired every single day by new things. The one impossible dream I did have for a long time though was to become a doctor with Medicins Sans Frontiers. Though that’s something I hope to still do. If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing? Wow that’s a big question! I’d say remaining true to myself. What has been your greatest achievement personally? Different cuisines, museums, religious sites and sports played a large role in my episodes. While shooting my shows I tried hard to maintain a lot of my own personality and add elements to the show that actually do interest me in real life. What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?Ĭonvincing people that a pretty girl on TV doesn’t necessarily have to be stupid. The film for a script I co-wrote will release next year, and a second project is underway. Though I still shoot for various things (most recently the music video Dreamgirl for solo artist Rohan Solomon), I’m going back to my writing roots and working on writing film scripts for Indian cinema. ‘Life’s A Beach’, it sounded a bit like a dream come true! Tell us about any current projects you are involved in I really enjoyed the travel and talking and when NDTV Good Times offered me the show, ‘Life’s A Beach’, it sounded a bit like a dream come true! I ended up doing almost 50 episodes at different beaches across the world. I first tried my hand at television when Doordarshan asked me to anchor the series, ‘Destination Himalaya’. I started my career as a print journalist writing and editing for various publications.
